I want to know how long I can make an Alert name and if there is a limit.

I am receiving the following error when adding an Alert name:

Ensure this field has no more than 200 characters.

Currently the monitor name field is limited to 200 characters.

If you try to create a monitor with a longer name you will get the above error message. 

To ensure your monitor has as much descriptive information as possible please ensure to use the "Description" field in Step 5. This field supports markdown and is intended for storing critical info like runbook details or instructions for alert responders.<br>​ <br>​
