I have set up Uptime or Crons alerts, but I cannot add an action to make it notify me in my chosen integration.

It is actually possible to have Uptime and/or Crons notifications in your selected integration! To do this, configure an issue alert and choose the issue category "outage". Then choose how you'd like to be notified (via via email, Slack, and so on).
