Are there protections from suggested solutions containing public code?

Updated over a month ago

Issue

I am interested in using Autofix or AI Suggested Solutions. I have concerns on whether the output of these tools would infringe on any copyright or licensing issues of publicly available code sources.

Applies To

  • Users of Sentry's AI tools

Resolution

There are contractual assurances from OpenAI that the output from their models does not infringe third party IP rights. In regards to code scanning and checking the output on our end, we do not have any internal tooling that does so.

For more information on the assurances from OpenAI, please refer to their Business Terms and Service Terms.
