Getting help when a Sentry integration isn't working

How to get help when a Sentry integration stops working, including how to tell whether Sentry or a third-party partner maintains it, and who to contact for feature problems versus install or uninstall issues.

If one of your integrations stops working, the fastest way to a fix depends on who maintains it and what's failing.

First, check who maintains the integration

Some integrations are built and maintained by Sentry. Others are built and maintained by the partner company through Sentry's Integration Platform, in those cases, Sentry doesn't own or change their code.

To tell which is which, open the integration's page in the Sentry documentation. If it says "This integration is maintained and supported by the company that created it," that integration is partner-maintained, examples include Shortcut, Linear, ClickUp, and Rootly. If that line isn't there, it's maintained by Sentry. (Some integrations have both Sentry-built and partner-built parts, so if you're unsure, the last section tells you what to do.)

If the integration's features aren't working

This covers things like creating or linking items, syncing data, or errors when you click the integration's button in Sentry.

First, try removing and re-adding the integration from Settings → Integrations. This clears up many issues, like an expired connection and it applies whether Sentry or a partner maintains it.

If the problem continues:

  • Partner-maintained integration: reach out to that company's support team. They own and maintain the code, so they're best placed to help, and Sentry can't make code changes to these integrations. Their setup instructions (linked from the integration's page in Sentry) usually include how to contact them.

  • Sentry-maintained integration: contact Sentry Support.

If you're trying to install or uninstall and that itself fails

Installing and uninstalling is handled on Sentry's side, regardless of who maintains the integration. If the remove/re-add step above won't work at all, contact Sentry Support.

Not sure which applies?

If you can't tell whether the problem is with the integration's features or something on Sentry's side, contact Sentry Support and we'll point you in the right direction.
