Why am I getting a 403 error when trying to access the Issues page?

Issue

When trying to access the Issues page in Sentry, you might encounter a loading issue, and upon checking the network tab, you'll likely see a 403 error message.

Applies To

Any Sentry customer who is assigned the Billing role within their organization.

Resolution

A 403 error occurs when you don’t have the required permissions to view the requested page.
If your account has the Billing role, you can manage billing details and subscriptions, but you cannot access the Issues page or other project data.

To view issues, you’ll need to have one of the roles with project access, listed here from highest to lowest:

  • Owner

  • Manager

  • Admin

  • Member

You can request your organization’s Owner or Admin to update your role.
