How do I switch SSO providers?

Issue

I would like to change SSO prodivers for my Sentry organisation.

Applies To

  • Paid SaaS users

Resolution

It is only possible to have one idP provider active at any time in your organisation.

To switch providers, follow the steps:

  1. Go to Organisation Settings -> Auth

  2. Disable the current SSO configuration

  3. Go back to Organisation Settings -> Auth

  4. Set up the new SSO provider.

To ensure a smooth transition to a new provider without encountering login issues, it's advisable to first disable your current Single Sign-On (SSO) enforcement. You can achieve this by deselecting the "Require SSO" option in your Auth settings. Following this, establish a password and email login by going through the password recovery flow. This will ensure no one gets locked out during the switch of providers.
