Resolution
All plans include 5GB of Logs volume.
In order to send more than 5GB you need to configure your pay-as-you-go budget (formerly "on-demand budget").
If you're on a legacy plan, to accept more than 5GB of Logs, you'll need to set a shared on-demand budget.
Any additional usage will cost $0.50/GB. You can check the pricing here for our most-updated plans & here for our legacy plans.
Certain plans do not allow you to configure a pay-as-you-go budget for example, our free Developer plan.
Some other plans that prevent you from configuring a pay-as-you-go (or on-demand) budget include:
Sentry does not currently support setting a spending limit specifically for Logs. The PAYG budget is shared across all products, including Logs, Errors, and other features, and it is not possible to allocate or reserve a portion of this budget exclusively for Logs.
To manage your spending effectively, consider the following tips:
Disable Unused Features: To prevent other products from using the shared PAYG budget, you can disable those features at the SDK level across your projects. This ensures that only Logs usage contributes to the budget.
Set PAYG Budget to $0: If you want to completely stop all PAYG spending, you can set your PAYG budget to $0. This can be done from the Subscription page by clicking "Edit limit." Note that this will halt all additional usage across all products, including Logs.
By understanding the shared nature of the PAYG budget and implementing these strategies, you can better manage your spending on Logs in Sentry.
