I accidentally started a Product Trial (Spans, Replays, Profiles, or Logs) what happens now?

Issue

I am currently on a product trial (such as Spans, Replays, Continuous Profile Hours, UI Profile Hours, or Logs) that I do not wish to use. Will I be charged when the trial ends?

Resolution

Anyone who's on a Free, Team, or Business plan can initiate a product trial directly from the Sentry UI, either through the Subscription page, or the Explore (→Traces, Logs, Profiles, Replays).

The purple thunder icon on the Subscription page shows whether a trial is available:



The product category trial allows you 14 days of unlimited quota for relevant category and do not draw from your reserved quota.

After this trial ends, you will revert back to accepting events from your regular quota.

Think of it as free events for 14 days. - There's no need to cancel anything after the trial ends.

There are no additional charges for using the trial and it will not change your subscription unless you were to manually upgrade.

If you still wish to stop the product trial early, please contact support here.

Note: We recommend returning your sample rates to pre-trial values before the end of your trial to ensure that quota is not consumed in an unexpected way.
