TL;DR
Seer is moving all customers to a usage-based credit pricing model. Starting December 8, 2026, you only pay for what you use, using AI credits from your new Seer Wallet. Every Sponsored, Team or Business plan comes with 500 monthly credits.
Additionally, we’re sunsetting Seer’s AI Code Review function.
How is billing changing?
Previously we billed for Seer based on the number of active contributors on any connected repo or based on the number of issues scanned. We are moving away from both of these pricing models in favor of a usage-based credit system. From December 8, 2026, credits will be consumed when you take actions using Seer, such as:
Seer Autofix to generate an RCA or PR
Chats with Seer Agent in UI or Slack
When does this go into effect?
December 8th, 2026. On that day, all customers will be migrated to the usage-based credit pricing model.
How will the AI credits work?
All Team and Business plans will get 500 monthly credits. Those monthly credits will reset every billing cycle and do not rollover.
You can also add credits to your wallet anytime during your billing cycle and those added credits carry over from month to month up to twelve months.
AI credits apply to the whole Sentry organization, not an individual.
How will I be able to add more credits?
With Autoload. You will be able to choose a top-up amount and a low-balance threshold. When your balance drops below the threshold, the preset top-up amount will be added to your Wallet to make sure your organization can continue to use Seer.
Please note, Autoload is off by default. When off, you will lose access to Seer features until more credit is added to your Wallet or the beginning of your billing cycle.
In the event Autoload fails, we will try to charge the card on file four times. If all four attempts fail, please contact us at [email protected] to get help to turn it back on.
Will I be charged if an action fails?
If an AI call fails, you will not be charged. If the call succeeds but Seer can’t use the result, credits will still be used.
Will purchased credits expire?
Purchased credits will expire 12 months after purchase.
(But remember that the 500 monthly credits for Sponsored, Team and Business plans expire at the end of your billing cycle.)
Does using the Sentry MCP, CLI, or API cost credits?
No. Connecting to Sentry and reading data is free. However, if a call triggers a Seer action like Autofix or Root Cause Analysis, that action will be billed like any other Seer action.
Code Review
What is happening to AI Code Review?
On December 8th, 2026, we will no longer offer AI Code Review. If AI Code Review is part of your current CI process, please remove it prior to December 8th to make sure your build processes are not interrupted.
Do not remove the Sentry GitHub or GitLab applications. Those integrations are still required for Seer Autofix.
