Why am I only allowed to see the last 7 days of data?

Issue

The system restricts me to view traces from only the last 7 days, I would like to know why.

Applies To

  • Customers, who are part of the closed cohort that have access to the new trace explorer UX

Resolution

Since we need to write tracing data to a new storage infra, the UX has been restricted to the last 7 days of data. If the you want, we can exclude you from the cohort, and you'll see the old UX. In this case, please reach out to support and let us know.

The current plan is to make the new UX available to all EA customers soon and increase the lookback period accordingly.
