I want to trigger alerts in Sentry only for a specific deployment environment (e.g., production vs staging).

Resolution
It is possible to configure an alert rule to only trigger on one environment.
Go to Monitors -> Alerts, select the alert you want to edit and click Edit. Under "Filter issues", select the desired environment from the dropdown menu and save the alert. This menu only allows selecting one environment.
To configure more than one environment, set "All environments" from the dropdown menu and add the desired environments in the "IF" section of the alert builder.
