I want to know if I can resize widgets on my custom dashboard, and how to do it.

Yes. Open your custom dashboard, click Edit Dashboard, then drag a widget's ⤡ resize handle to change its size. You can also drag widgets to rearrange them. Click Save when you're done so the layout sticks for the org.
