How do I install the Microsoft Teams integration in more than one Sentry Org? (Same Data Center/Region)

Issue

I have 2 Sentry subscriptions in the same region. I installed the integration into one organization and now I would like to install the integration into another.

Applies To

  • Microsoft Teams Integration Users

  • Owners of multiple Sentry Orgs of the same region

Symptoms

  • Trying to install the integration again leads to the Teams chat screen with no apparent next step

Resolution

To get the integration installed in multiple orgs, you will need to first uninstall it from your Team channels and then reinstall the integration to all your Sentry orgs at once.

To uninstall the Sentry integration from your Teams channels go to the ... next to the team > Manage Team > Apps > ... next to Sentry > and Remove (Note: this is now out of date. You will now need to go to the App Center to remove the App)

Then go through the flow to install it in one org in the UI. Click on the Team, and you'll get this prompt -

From there, you will want to click the "Complete Setup" button to install it in all your orgs 1 at a time. Every time you click that button, you'll get brought to the org selector, where you can install the integration to your org. After you finish with one, click the same "Complete Setup" button again to install it into the other org.

Warning: This article only applies to users trying to install the integration into the SAME data region. This article does not apply if for example you are trying to install the integration to a US Sentry org and a EU Sentry org.
