How do I manage Seer settings across all my projects?

Issue

I have many projects and want to manage Seer's automation settings across all of them at once, without configuring each project individually.

Applies To

  • All SaaS Customers using Seer

  • Organization owners and managers

  • Seer

Resolution

Manage Seer automation for multiple projects from the organization-level Seer settings. Editing these settings requires the organization owner or manager role.

To update existing projects in bulk:

  1. Go to Settings > Seer > Autofix.

  2. Select the projects you want to change using the row checkboxes, or use the header checkbox to select all.

  3. In the bulk action bar that appears, use the Handoff to Agent dropdown (which agent proposes code changes) and the Automation Steps dropdown (how far Seer runs automatically, from No Automation through Stop after PR drafted).

To set defaults for new projects:

  1. Go to Settings > Seer > Autofix and click Defaults.

  2. Configure Auto-Trigger Fixes by Default and Allow Autofix to create PRs by Default.

These defaults apply only to newly created projects and do not change existing projects. For Seer to open pull requests, Enable Code Generation must also be on, under Settings > Seer > Advanced Settings.

You can still configure a single project at Settings > Projects > [your project] > Seer, where you set that project's automation and the repositories Seer can access. See how to enable or disable Seer for a specific project.

For more on Seer setup, see the Seer documentation.
