How to fix the Personal installation scenario with the Teams integration

Issue

The customer, after installing the Teams integration cannot set up alerts with the configured Teams instance.

Applies To

  • Users with Admin role

Symptoms

Instead of seeing the prompt mentioned in the docs:

Customer sees the following:

Also, in Issue alerts the "Send Microsoft Teams notification" is not available for the Teams instance.

Resolution

Although Admin users can edit global integrations (integration that is available to all projects, which is the case for Microsoft Teams), only Manager or Owner have permissions to add a new global integration. They can install the integration but it won't work properly.

They need to reach out to a Manager or Manager to reinstall the integration.
