Why isn't my on-demand/pay-as-you-go budget being used?

Issue

The quota limit has been reached and and on-demand/pay-as-you-go (PAYG) budget has been set up. Despite this budget, no additional errors, transactions/spans, or other events are received.

Applies To

  • Paying SaaS Customers using On-Demand/PAYG

  • Organizations that have subscribed annually, up front

Symptoms

  • Adding additional reserved quota may allow new events but events will never be applied to on-demand.

Resolution

This can happen for organizations where the annual subscription was purchased up front but a subsequent monthly charge for on-demand/PAYG usage has failed. Please review any receipts that are failed or awaiting payment. A failed receipt that is closed can be re-opened by contacting support.
